Hosting a Party

Every KCP member family may have one prime time and one non-prime time party per summer. Prime time is Friday, Saturday and Sunday; non-prime time is Monday through Thursday. Parties generally run 3 to 4 hours in duration, and the pool is open to members at all times during such parties - meaning you are *not* "reserving" the pool for a private function. Parties do get priority use of the cabana, picnic table and BBQ. Any party with more than 10 attendees are required to pay a usage fee, unless the entire party consists of members and their lineal descendants. This fee should be paid via a check sent directly to the KCP board prior to the event.

Scheduling a party

To schedule a party, first check the online pool calendar for availability. If your date is available, please email your request to KCP interim calendar chairs at [email protected] and include the date, start and end time, and number of anticipated guests.

Upon approval of the party's day and time, please post a sign on both outside gates at least five days before the party, stating the date and hours of the function.  The sign should be removed immediately after the function. 

Large parties of 20 guests or more are subject to additional constraints.  Please see the General Rules and Regulations defined in the . member rules document at for complete information on hosting a party.

No more than one party will be allowed on Friday and Saturday evenings after 5:00 p.m.  Example:  If a party is scheduled for Saturday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., no other party can be scheduled for that Saturday evening.  Members are encouraged to work out conflicting schedules among themselves.

Party supplies

Please provide your party with all the supplies you will need.  Do not use the pool’s supply of plates, napkins, cutlery, etc. Take away all food and drinks at the conclusion of your party. Any food left behind will be considered community property and will surely be devoured.  Never leave alcohol behind.

Party clean up

The member host is responsible for clean up following their party. Please see the party host responsibilities checklist for details. Note that members will be liable for any damage caused by their guests.

The pool and tennis courts are not available for rent or donation.
